Memorandum of Understanding Between GridVille Program and KUSOL

Today, on June 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between the GridVille Program and Kathmandu University School of Law. The MOU was jointly signed by Mr. Brijesh Adhikary, Associate Dean of the School of Engineering, and Prof. Rishikesh Wagle, Dean of the School of Law. This momentous occasion took place during the strategic meeting of the GridVille Program. The MOU focuses on research collaboration and energy regulations, aligning with the objectives of the GridVille Program, which aims to promote and implement energy systems in Nepal.

As the School of Law has pioneered the Masters of Law (LL.M) in Energy and Infrastructure Law and, the Masters of Energy and Infrastructure Law (MEIL) Program, this partnership seeks to support each other’s objectives, with the GridVille Program benefiting from the School of Law’s expertise in energy policies and regulations, while the School of Law gains technical assistance in energy and infrastructure issues from the GridVille Program. Together, these programs of two schools are committed to working collaboratively to achieve their shared goals of advancing knowledge, supporting practical learning, and addressing the complex challenges of energy and related policies, laws, and regulations in Nepal.
